Teachers inspire, encourage, and shape the minds of tomorrow—and we think it’s time to celebrate them in a BIG way! That’s why we’re thrilled to launch the First Annual Macaroni KID Roanoke Teacher Appreciation Awards, just in time for Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5–9).
Whether they’re leading a preschool circle time, unlocking reading magic in elementary school, navigating the exciting middle school years, or bringing excellence to private school classrooms—these educators deserve our gratitude and recognition.

We’re inviting YOU—parents, students, fellow teachers, and community members—to nominate outstanding local educators in one of the following divisions:
- Preschool
- Elementary & Middle School
- Private School
To nominate someone, just fill out our Teacher Appreciation Nomination Form.
You’ll be asked to share a few words about why your chosen teacher deserves to be recognized. (And don’t forget—nominators must subscribe to Macaroni KID Roanoke to participate!)

- April 21: Finalists announced
- April 21 – May 2: Final voting takes place
- Week of May 5: Winners announced via our newsletter, website, and social media

While we’re keeping prize details under wraps just a bit longer (stay tuned!), each winner will receive a fun prize and a special spotlight right here in Macaroni KID Roanoke. Finalists will also be recognized!
